How do I install the Windows client?
Download the installer from your dashboard, run the .exe file, and follow the setup wizard. The client will automatically sync with your cloud account after you sign in.
How long does the initial backup take?
Initial backup time depends on your data size and internet speed. Most practices complete their first backup within 30 minutes. Subsequent backups are incremental and much faster.
Can I restore individual files or entire backups?
Yes! You can restore individual files, specific folders, or complete backups. Our point-in-time recovery lets you restore data from any snapshot within the last 90 days.
Is my data encrypted?
Absolutely. All data is encrypted with AES-256 encryption at rest and TLS 1.3 in transit. We provide enterprise-grade security and a BAA is available on request for customers who require it. Learn more on our Security page.
What happens if my internet goes down?
The Windows client maintains local copies and will automatically resume syncing when your connection is restored. No data is lost during connectivity interruptions.
How do I upgrade or downgrade my plan?
You can change your plan anytime from the billing section of your dashboard. Upgrades take effect immediately, and downgrades apply at the next billing cycle.
Do you offer training for new users?
Yes! We provide complimentary onboarding sessions, video tutorials, and comprehensive documentation. Enterprise customers receive dedicated training sessions.
What practice management software is supported?
DentalDrive supports all major dental practice management systems including Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, Dolphin, and many others. We monitor common data folders automatically.
